How to stop a direct debit ?

You should know that it is very difficult to interrupt a recurring debit by bank card once you have given your authorization.

Normally you must write to the beneficiary of the recurring deduction, that is to say the merchant to whom you have given the authorization to deduct, asking him to put an end to this deduction and possibly to the benefits resulting from it.

If after 7 working days you don't get an answer you can ask to block your card. This will stop all pre-authorized debits.
You will then need to acquire a new card.
