My payments are rejected
❌ Why was my payment declined?
If your payment is declined, it doesn’t necessarily mean your card isn’t working.
Several reasons can explain a declined transaction.
💰 1. Insufficient balance
First, check your card balance.
You cannot pay an amount higher than your available balance.
Example:
If you have €10 on your card, you won’t be able to pay €15.
👉 Top up your card and try again.
ℹ️ Some merchants may temporarily block a card after a failed payment due to insufficient funds. This verification can last up to 7 days depending on the website.
📅 2. Expired card
If your card has expired, it can no longer be used for payments.
⌨️ 3. Incorrect card details
A payment may be declined if:
- card number is incorrect
- expiration date is wrong
- CVV is incorrect

⏳ 4. Pending transactions
A pending transaction is a temporary authorization that hasn’t yet been fully settled.
As long as a pending amount exists, your actual available balance may be lower than what is displayed.
⏱️ Pending transactions usually clear within a few days (maximum around 10 days depending on the merchant).

Some websites or service categories are not allowed.

🔒 6. Card blocked
If unusual or non-compliant activity is detected, your card may be blocked. In that case, payments will not be possible.
You can try unlocking it from your account first.
If the issue persists, please contact support.
🏦 7. “Issuer declined” message
If you see a message such as:
Issuer declined
this usually does not mean your card is invalid or blocked.
Payment platforms apply their own automated security rules.
A decline may happen if:
- the same card is used on multiple accounts
- several payments are attempted within a short time
- the card is removed and re-added
- your payment behavior suddenly changes
👉 In these cases, the block is triggered by the platform or payment network — not by KeeCash.
✅ Recommendations
To avoid declines:
- use a dedicated card per service
- avoid removing and re-adding a declined card
- create a new card if a website permanently blocks the current one
💡 Good to know
In most cases, a declined payment is caused by the merchant’s system — not by the card itself.
