1) 🤔What can you do with PayPal?


PayPal lets buyers and sellers send and receive payments online. It is accepted by millions of merchants worldwide.⚠️ Please note: because of PayPal's restrictions in Africa, you cannot receive payments on your account. You also cannot send money from your PayPal account to your Keecard or to Mobile Money.For PayPal withdrawals to Mobile Money (Airtel Money, Orange Money, MPESA and others), KeeCash is building a solution that will be available soon. 2) 🔄How do I link my Keecard to my PayPal account?


a) If you do not have a PayPal account, follow the instructions below, otherwise go to point b)


  1. Go to the PayPal website to sign up. You can sign up here. Once there, go to the top right and tap Sign Up

  1. Add your phone number and save it by clicking Next
The number you enter must be yours. You will receive an SMS or a phone call with a code to validate that number (screenshot 3).

  1. Enter your personal details: email address, first and last name, a unique password, and confirm it. Then click Next (screenshot 4). Enter your home address, say whether you want to receive promotional emails from PayPal, and click Agree and Create Account (screenshot 5).

  1. At this step, say what you plan to do with your new account by selecting Shop with PayPal or Send money (screenshot 6). Link your new account to your KeeCash card by saving your card details. Enter your card number, the card type, the expiry date and the security code (CVV). Then save by tapping Link Card (screenshot 7).

  1. You will see a screen (screenshot saying your card has been added and that you need to confirm it. Click Ok. You are taken to the wallet tab, where you see your card with an error asking you to confirm it. Click confirm it (screenshot 9).

  1. Click Get a code to continue (screenshot 10). Then go to your KeeCash account and look in the history of the card you just saved: you will see the code in the transaction starting with PP, as PayPal explains. Copy that code and go back to PayPal (screenshot 11).

As PayPal explains, you need at least $1.95 on the card balance to get the code, because that amount is temporarily taken from your card. It is returned to you within 24 hours after the card is confirmed.The code can take some time to reach you. You will need to wait for it. If you request a new code, $1.95 is taken from the card once again and the old code stops working.
  1. Paste the code you just copied and click Confirm (screenshot 12). The card is confirmed, click Ok.

  1. You are taken to the home page of your PayPal account (screenshot 14). By clicking the card you just added, you can see the details you entered.
Well done 👏 you have just set up your PayPal account successfully, you are ready to explore the world of online payments.


b) If you already have a PayPal account, follow these instructions:


  1. Log in to your PayPal account. You can log in here
  2. Choose the Wallet option at the top of the page (screenshot 1). On the left, click Link a card (screenshot 2).

  1. Add your KeeCash card details and click the Link Card button. As above, you then confirm that your card was added to the payment methods already saved in your account.
