# Why is my number not accepted?

**📢 How to Enter Your Phone Number Correctly and Recharge via Mobile Money**


**🔐 Valid Phone Number Format**

To ensure your phone number is recognized by our system, you must enter it **in the national format**, **without** the international dialing code (e.g., +225, +229, etc.).

> 🔹 Example: `0711200328` ✔️
> 🔹 Not: `+225 0711200328` ❌

Please do **not include any spaces, dashes, or special characters**.


**📌 Expected Format by Country**

The beginning of the number may vary depending on your mobile operator and local regulations. Here are the valid formats by country:

**⛔ Important: Compatibility Between Country and Mobile Money Operator**

If you created your account in a specific country (e.g., **Benin**), you can only recharge using **Mobile Money operators from that same country** (e.g., MTN Benin, Moov Benin).

> 🔹 For example: a user registered in Benin **cannot** use a Mobile Money number from Togo to make a deposit.

This rule helps ensure the **security and traceability** of transactions.
